The Outdoor Headshot
This outdoor experience includes expert posing and expression coaching to ensure you exude confidence and approachability in every shot, along with wardrobe consultation, natural lighting (plus a little extra lighting when needed), and a video chat later to select your favorites from a gallery of images .
Flexible Locations
The location of your background can speak volumes about your brand. You can create a more urban and corporate feel with a building or city street as your backdrop. Or for something a little softer and more natural, start with a desert setting, a neighborhood, a park, or even your own back yard. Our Headshot Process
For outdoor sessions, we’ll help you pick a time and location that works with available light (of course, we also bring lighting, but we don’t want you to be squinty in the sun). We generally walk around your selected location so a get several different poses in different settings (varies with the package you select). We also have a travel changing tent if you want to bring multiple outfits and we’re not in a place you can change.
For this type of shoot, you’ll want to bring comfortable walking shoes, as we may walk around a bit. Bring water, and plan your timing as it is very hot in the summer months. We generally don’t recommend outdoor headshots between mid-May and late-September, just because it’s too hot for you to look your best.
At HeadshotProsAZ we know you’re great at what you do, but you might not get in front of the camera that often. So rest assured, that we make it easy. When you book an appointment, you’ll get an email outlining what to wear/bring, where to go, when to arrive, and any other info you might need to prepare for your session. For outdoor sessions, you can book online but we will call to chat about time of day that’s best for your chosen location, and a few more specifics after you book (or you can call first).
Then, when you come to your appointment, you can trust you’re in good hands. We’ll discuss the purpose of your headshots and how you plan to use them, and then, get ready to hop in front of the camera.

If you’re like most of my clients, this part sounds terrifying… I get it. But please don’t worry. I have coached thousands of people just like you who hate being in front of the camera. And I know how to help you feel comfortable, confident, and look your best (for many of us, that means looking younger and thinner, am-i-right?). I will guide you in posing and expressions that help you send the right message to potential clients, employers, team members, and others, while looking like yourself (but your very best self, of course!)
Image Selection
Once your session is done, we’ll schedule a time to do a video chat so we can sit down together and make selections from your shoot. I specialize in understanding micro-expressions and body language so I will help you select the best images to get your message across. We’ll discuss your intended usage and choose images that convey confidence and approachability to your ideal audience.
Expert Headshot Retouching
After images are selected, we’ll discuss what retouching you want. Whether outdoor or a studio shoot, this will include skin smoothing (+ blemish removal), hair touch ups, eye and teeth brighting, and all the little details that give your images professional polish.
Once your image editing is completed, you’ll receive a digital gallery of your purchased images to download and use.

Whether you need just a few headshots to get started, or you want several options to grow your personal brand, we’ve created packages to meet your needs.
We’ve found that our clients have varying needs as to how many images they want, so we offer both packages and a la carte options. This way, you’ll have the flexibility to purchase as many images as you’d like.
Our base pricing includes a session fee plus a set number of final retouched images, but you can add additional images to any package. Each image includes professional retouching and a generous commercial usage license.
Our clients typically spend between $450-$1500+ for headshots. Larger packages available.
